In spoken English, we often need to:

This module helps students speak confidently and naturally in real-life situations.

1. Expressing Opinions

We use opinion sentences to tell what we think or feel.

Expression Example Sentence
I think… I think English is very important.
I believe… I believe practice makes a person perfect.
In my opinion… In my opinion, online learning is helpful.
I feel that… I feel that this method is effective.
Spoken Tip:
Always speak opinions politely, not strongly or rudely.

2. Strong vs Soft Opinions

Soft Opinion Strong Opinion
I think it is good. I strongly believe it is excellent.
I feel it may help. I am sure it will help.

3. Giving Suggestions

Suggestions are used to give advice or ideas.

Structure Example
You should… You should practice English daily.
You can… You can watch English movies.
Why don’t you…? Why don’t you join a spoken English class?
It is better to… It is better to speak slowly.

4. Polite Suggestions

Expression Example
I suggest that… I suggest that you revise daily.
It would be better if… It would be better if you spoke confidently.
How about…? How about practicing with friends?

5. Agreeing & Disagreeing

Agreeing Disagreeing (Polite)
I agree with you. I don’t fully agree.
You are right. I think differently.
Exactly. I respect your opinion, but…
