Module 2: Present Continuous Tense & Daily Actions
1. Introduction to Present Continuous Tense
The Present Continuous Tense is used to talk about:
- Actions happening right now
- Temporary actions
- Actions happening at the time of speaking
2. Sentence Structure
Formula:
Subject + is / am / are + verb + ing

Speaking Drill:
Look around you and say 5 sentences about what people are doing now.
3. Affirmative Sentences
- I am eating breakfast.
- She is watching TV.
- They are playing cricket.
- We are learning English.
Exercise:
Make 5 affirmative sentences about actions happening now.
4. Negative Sentences
Structure: Subject + is/am/are + not + verb + ing

5. Question Sentences
Structure: Is / Am / Are + Subject + verb + ing?

6. Verb + ING Spelling Rules

| One vowel + one consonant → double consonant |
run → running |
Tip: Always check spelling before speaking or writing.
7. Common Mistakes
- ❌ She playing now → ✅ She is playing now
- ❌ I am play football → ✅ I am playing football
- ❌ Are she studying? → ✅ Is she studying?
