Module 1: Simple Present Tense & Basic Vocabulary

1. Introduction

Level 2 focuses on **developing fluency and confidence**. Module 1 helps students understand the **Simple Present Tense** for daily routines and **basic vocabulary expansion** for better communication.

2. Simple Present Tense – Affirmative

Rules: Use the base verb for I, You, We, They and add -s / -es for He, She, It.

Subject Verb Example
I / You / We / They play I play football every morning.
He / She / It plays She plays cricket on Sundays.
We study We study English daily.
Speaking Drill:
Make 5 affirmative sentences about your daily routine and speak aloud.

3. Simple Present Tense – Negative

Rules: Use do not / does not + base verb for negative sentences.

Subject Structure Example
I / You / We / They do not + verb I do not watch TV in the morning.
He / She / It does not + verb He does not like pizza.
Speaking Drill:
Make 5 negative sentences about habits or routines and speak aloud.

4. Simple Present Tense – Questions

Rules: Use Do / Does + Subject + Base Verb?

Subject Structure Example
I / You / We / They Do + Subject + Verb? Do you play football?
He / She / It Does + Subject + Verb? Does she study English?
Speaking Drill:
Ask 5 questions to your friend or family about their daily routine using Do / Does.

Expand your vocabulary in common areas:
