1. Introduction to Present Simple Tense

The Present Simple tense is used to describe:

The structure changes slightly for affirmative, negative, and question forms.

2. Affirmative Sentences

Structure: Subject + Base Verb (for I/You/We/They) Subject + Verb+s/es (for He/She/It)

Subject Verb Example
I / You / We / They play I play football.
He / She / It plays She plays cricket.
We study We study English.
Spoken Drill:
Make 5 sentences about your daily routine.
Example: I eat breakfast at 8 AM.

3. Negative Sentences

Structure: Subject + do/does + not + Base Verb

Subject Structure Example
I / You / We / They do not + verb I do not watch TV.
He / She / It does not + verb He does not like pizza.
Spoken Drill:
Say 5 sentences in negative form about yourself.
Example: I do not play video games in the morning.

4. Question Sentences

Structure: Do / Does + Subject + Base Verb + ?

Subject Structure Example
I / You / We / They Do + subject + verb? Do you play football?
He / She / It Does + subject + verb? Does she study English?
Speaking Drill:
Ask 5 questions to a friend using Do / Does.
Example: Does he like apples?
